Can you speed up the treatment?

You can not really make your treatment any quicker by changing you aligners more frequently as the teeth need time to move into the correct position before you move onto the next aligner.  If you try to move through aligners or skip aligners you will find that eventually your aligners will not fit correctly.

It all depends on each individual case and your dentist will advise you on this at the consultation appointment.

How can I tell if Invisalign is working?

You will notice the change in the appearance of your teeth and your aligner will get loose when you are due to change into the next aligner.

Do chewies help Invisalign?

Chewies are a very necessary part of your Invisalign treatment, they are important to be used for the first few days of each new set of aligners to help seat the aligner correctly. If the aligner is not seated correctly then your teeth will not more as required.

Does Invisalign give you a lisp?

It can give some people a change in their speech of a few days or weeks, but as you get use to wearing the aligners, this will return to normal

The only people who are not eligible for Invisalign are those that feel honestly that they will not be compliant.

It is not ideal to bite down on your Invisalign as they are only plastic and can crack if not treated correctly

Can you drink Diet Coke with Invisalign?

It is recommended you do not eat or drink with your Invisalign aligners in place. You can eat and drink anything if you remove your aligners prior and remember to brush your teeth before placing your aligners back in your mouth

Should I whiten my teeth before?

Whitening your teeth would be a nice finishing touch once you have completed your Invisalign treatment as your teeth will be all aligned and the whitening will be more effective as it will reach all surfaces of your nicely aligned teeth.

What hurts more braces or Invisalign?

Braces are more uncomfortable as they are made from metal or ceramic and they are rough and have sharp wires that can sometimes scratch your lips and cheeks.  It works by small constant movements where braces generally get adjusted every 6 weeks and can be tender for several days after your adjustment appointments.
